BROADCASTING RECEIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability in a broadcasting receiver, where a module receiving digital broadcasting and a main module receiving an operation input are composed separately. SOLUTION: A DVD recorder has the main module and a digital module. The main module has an analog tuner, a control section, a remote controller, and the like. The digital module has a terrestrial digital module including the channel control section, a digital content processing section (processing section), and the like. The processing section downloads and executes a program. The control section transmits a numeric key command to the channel control section (ST3) when it is determined that the digital module is operating (YES for ST2). When the processing section is not using any numeric keys (NO for ST13), the channel control section sends the numeric key to the control section (ST14), and the control section directly designates a channel number designated by the numeric key to the analog tuner (ST5).
