Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a single camera used for a drive recorder and for preventing theft from a vehicle without providing a mechanical movable part, in an onboard camera system. SOLUTION: This onboard camera system has: a camera device 10 installed to the vehicle 200 to obtain an outside image (V1) in a first area among imaging areas and to obtain an inside image (V2) in a second area; a trimming part 20 cutting out the outside image V1 and the inside image V2 of the whole image (V0) imaged by the camera device 10 as images independent of each other; an image selection part 30 selecting one image to be stored of the outside image V1 and the inside image V2 cut out by the trimming part 20 according to a prescribed condition; and a storage part 40 making a storage medium 50 store the outside image V1 or the inside image V2 selected by the image selection part 30.
