Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diesel particulate filter (DPF) with a high collecting rate of PM and a large amount of collected PM per unit volume. SOLUTION: This DPF comprises heat resistant fiber filter layers (A1)-(An) (n is an integer of 2 or more) that are laminated. In the DPF, an average value (a1)-(an) of a fiber diameter of the heat resistant fibers included in each of heat resistant fiber filter layers (A1)-(An) satisfies the following expressions: (1) (a1)≥(a2)≥...≥(an-1)≥(an), and (2) (a1)>(an) (n is an integer of 2 or more). At least one of the heat resistant fiber filter layers (A1)-(An) is a different diameter fiber blend filter including heat resistant fibers (T1)-(Tm) (m is an integer of 2 or more), and a fiber diameter (t1)-(Tm) of each heat resistant fiber (T1)-(Tm) satisfies: (3) (t1)≥(t2)≥...≥(tm-1)≥(tm), and (4) (t1)>(tm) (m is an integer of 2 or more).
