Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a document stand is kept stopped at an arbitrary position and cannot be stored when the document stand is stored in a body and used for a cover to cover a part of a sheet-like member conveying device, and a power source is turned off or the device is in a waiting state in the sheet-like member conveying device with the document stand being elevated/lowered. SOLUTION: When a document stand is stored in a sheet-like member conveying device and also used for a cover, and the sheet-like member conveying device is in a power-off or waiting state, the document stand is moved to the storing position by a document stand moving means and stopped. Further, when the document stand is stored and the power source of the device is turned on, the document stand is released from the storage by the document stand moving means, and further moved to a predetermined position at which a sheet-like member can be conveyed.
