UNIT FOR AERATING CONTAMINATED WATER AND APPARATUS FOR DECONTAMINATING CONTAMINATED WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit for aerating contaminated water, in which the contaminated water is aerated more easily and more surely than before on the whole to volatilize/remove volatile organic compounds at a low running cost and to provide an apparatus for treating contaminated water, the running cost of which can be kept down by using the unit for aerating the contaminated water. SOLUTION: The unit 10 for aerating the contaminated water comprises: a pump 11 for sucking and discharging the contaminated water; an aeration nozzle 41 from which air-mixed water is discharged while aerating the contaminated water W1 from the pump 11; and a gas-water separation chamber 2 in which the air-mixed water from the aeration nozzle 41 is received and a volatile organic compound (VOC) gas released from the received air-mixed water is held and which comprises a water tank part 22 for receiving the air-mixed water from the aeration nozzle 41 and a gas holding space part 23 arranged above the water tank part. The apparatus A for treating the contaminated water is composed by combining the unit 10 for aerating the contaminated water, a VOC gas removal unit 5 and a blower 6 for sucking the gas in the gas holding space part 23 and sending the sucked gas to the VOC gas removal unit 5.
