Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum specimen collection container capable of preventing generation of foaming by suppressing the inflow speed of a specimen flowing in the container. SOLUTION: This vacuum specimen collection container consists of a container having a closed one end and the open other end, and a plug body capable of detachably sealing the open end of the container, and its inside which is used for inserting a needle tube and collecting a specimen is decompressed. This vacuum specimen collection container is so formed that the plug body has a grippable head section, and a foot section suspending from the head section along the internal wall surface of the open end of the container and applying a fitting stress to the internal wall face; the head section has an opening for allowing the insertion of the needle tube; the opening has a needle tube insertable section consisting of thermoplastic elastomer or thermosetting elastomer at an inner position from the opening toward the foot section; at least a single tongue-like piece is provided at a position that faces the needle tube penetrating through the needle tube insertable section, where the specimen flowing from the needle tube collides but that is separated therefrom for preventing the puncture of the needle tube; and the tongue piece is provided in such a manner as to, when the needle tube penetrates through the needle tube insertable section to pass the specimen into the container, change the inflow direction of the specimen by the collision of the specimen.
