Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common rail for a diesel engine capable of securing high joining strength regardless of using a comparatively simple means, and an efficient assembling process, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In the common rail, a pressure receiving seat surface conically opened for continuously connecting a branch body communicating with a flow passage is formed on an outer peripheral face part of a branch hole provided in a peripheral wall part of a main pipe rail, the pressure receiving seat surface and a pressing seat surface provided on a connection head part of the branch body are brought into contact and engagement with each other, a screw boss fixed to the main pipe rail by welding and a nut assembled in a side of the branch body in advance are screwed together, and the main pipe rail and the branch body are integrally connected by being fastened with pressing under a neck of the connection head. A flat joining end face of a flange part provided in a side of a connecting face of the screw boss with respect to the main pipe rail and a flat joining end face formed in a periphery of the branch hole of the main pipe rail are joined together by high-energy beam welding, as the feature.
