Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an ultralow-sulfur fuel oil and a manufacturing apparatus therefor for manufacturing an ultralow-sulfur fuel oil useful as a base material of gas oil or a base material of gasoline from light cycle oil (LCO) distilled out by fluidized catalytic cracking (FCC) of hydrocarbon. SOLUTION: The manufacturing apparatus 100 is provided with a separation apparatus 10 for separating a heavier light cycle oil (HLCO) fraction from LCO distilled out from an FCC apparatus, a hydrodesulfurization apparatus 20 for hydrodesulfurizing the HLCO fraction, and a hydrocracking apparatus 30 for hydrocracking the hydrodesulfurized HLCO fraction. A separation step for separating the HLCO fraction in the separation apparatus 10 is carried out; a first hydrogenation step for hydrodesulfurizing the obtained HLCO fraction in the hydrodesulfurization apparatus 20 is carried out; and a second hydrogenation step for hydrocracking the desulfurized HLCO fraction in the hydrocracking apparatus 30 is carried out.
