Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermochromic glass in which VO2is prevented from being oxidized by highly toxic V2O5. SOLUTION: A laminate of sacrificial metal/oxide is provided as a surface protective layer for a vanadium dioxide film. The minimum thickness of the sacrificial metal layer is determined in a way that the sacrificial metal still exists after the oxide layer is formed, that is to say, the sacrificial metal is not totally oxidized and continues to exist as a metal having a some thickness.
