CONVEYED ARTICLE DETECTING DEVICE FOR TRAY TYPE CONVEYER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyed article detecting device for tray type conveyor capable of preventing dew condensation in a light reflecting part provided in each of trays of a tray type conveyor and, as a result, capable of avoiding the wrong detection about existence of conveyed article loaded on the tray. SOLUTION: This conveyed article detecting device for tray type conveyor is structured to reflect the light toward a loading surface of a tray 2 to be loaded with a conveyed article W and to detect existence of a conveyed article with a reflection type photo-electric sensor for receiving the light reflected from the tray. The upper surface of the tray 2 is provided with a recessed part 3 having a light reflecting part 4 in the bottom thereof, and an air intake opening 5, through which air flows into the recessed part 3 with progress of the tray, is formed in front of the tray 2 in the progressing direction, and dew condensation in the light reflecting part 4 can be thereby prevented by a flow of air.
