Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device capable of surely recognizing a place recognizing mark put on a board. SOLUTION: The printed board 3 is positioned, and beams are moved in the Y direction along a guide by driving a Y-axis driving motor while a board recognizing camera 10 and a fitting head 11 are moved in the X direction along the beams by driving an X-axis driving motor. Each place recognizing mark M put on the printed board 3 is image-sensed by the board recognizing camera 10, thus recognizing the place of the printed board 3. Since inclined planes 15A and 16A preventing the reflected light of an illuminating light irradiated from an illuminator 19 from returning to the board recognizing camera 10 are formed at portions near the printed board 3 of a pair of conveying chutes 15 and 16 in this case, boundaries among the place recognizing marks M and the conveying chutes 15 and 16 are clarified, and the places of each place recognizing mark M are recognized surely.
