STREAM DATA CONTROL MODULE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stream data control module capable of easily, safely and inexpensively achieving recording/reproducing of stream data to/from a storage device, and easily achieving functional expansion of digital device. SOLUTION: The stream data control module 1 includes a stream I/F 2 for exclusively inputting/outputting only stream data, a non-stream I/F 3 for inputting/outputting non-stream data, a device I/F 7 for providing an interface to a data storage means, and a control unit 5 for transferring the stream data according to a recording command/a reproducing command supplied from a host means. The control unit 5 includes a stream arrangement management part 8 for managing the storage place of the stream data in the data storage means, a scheduling part 9 for controlling the transfer order of the stream data and the non-stream data, and a command processing part 10 for interpreting various commands provided from the host means.
