INTERNALLY ILLUMINATED DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain luminous brightness more than a fixed level, and also, to prevent the occurrence of ghost indication of display letters even when directly receiving afternoon sunlight. SOLUTION: An internally illuminated display includes: a light source where LEDs 7 are arrayed uniformly in columns and rows on a printed board, a milky-white diffusion plate 8; a purple filter 9; a display film 10 displaying the display letters; and a smoke coat 11, wherein the diffusion plate 8 is configured to transmit and diffuse red light from the LED, the filter 9 is configured to transmit the red light from the LED. The display letter printing surface is constituted by printing the clipped display letters on the surface of the diffusion plate 8. The smoke coat 11 is a coating film in dark color nearly the same color as the base of the display film 10 with the clipped display letters. The surface with the printed letters is covered with the smoke coat 11, and the display film 10 displaying the display letters on the surface of the diffusion plate 8 and the surface of the smoke coat 11 are covered with the filter 9.
