DEVICE AND METHOD FOR VOLUME MEASUREMENT BY LIQUID WEIGHT MEASUREMENT AND ANALYZING APPARATUS CONTAINING THE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To virtually reduce the quantity and time of manual work required for volume measurement by weight measurement to calibrate an automatic pipetting device in an analysis apparatus for mobile medical examination. SOLUTION: This apparatus comprises a housing 11 having the shape and size of a standard rack used for a medical analysis apparatus retaining specimens or reagent containers, and the following components in the housing 11; a load cell 12 for volume measurement by weight measurement, a measuring container 13 for receiving liquid to be weighed by the load cell, a windshield 14 protecting the measuring container 13 against air flow, an evaporation trap 15 for preventing evaporation of liquid stored in the measuring container 14, a temperature sensor 21, a pressure sensor 31, and a moisture sensor 41 respective for detecting temperature, pressure, and moisture at preset points in the housing 11, and an electronic processing unit for receiving and processing electric output signals sent from the load cell 12 and sensors 21, 31, and 41.
