SOLUTION: The invention provides a skin whitening agent containing a composite of carbonic acid and/or bicarbonic acid-metal-LF, a decomposition product of the composite and a composite of carbonic acid and/or bicarbonic acid-metal-LF decomposition product as an active component, and a food, a drink, a feed and a cosmetic product compounded with the above composite, etc. The composite of carbonic acid and/or bicarbonic acid-metal-LF, the decomposition product of the composite and the composite of carbonic acid and/or bicarbonic acid-metal-LF decomposition product have high safety even by taking on a daily basis and exhibit excellent skin whitening effect.
