PROCESSING DEVICE FOR AUTOMATICALLY SPLICING WEB

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of damaged web, and to smoothly and reliably turn over a mill wrapper and the web on a table. SOLUTION: A processing device for automatically splicing a web comprises a lifting device 1 for supporting a web P with a mill wrapper, a mill wrapper peeling device 2 for cutting and peeling a mill wrapper, a web cutting and peeling device 6 for cutting and peeling a surface layer part of the web P, a table 7 for supporting a fore end of the web P, a cutter device 8 for cutting the web P, and a tape affixing device 10 for affixing a tape 73 to the fore end of the web P. A mill wrapper cut end lifting device 4 having a vacuum suction cup 46 for sucking, holding and lifting one cut end of the cut mill wrapper is arranged above the web P supported by the lifting device 1. A mill wrapper guide device 5 having a mill wrapper guide plate 51 which receives the cut end of the mill wrapper from the mill wrapper cut end lifting device 4 and is advancible/retractable in the delivering direction of the web P to be guided onto the table 7 is arranged above the fore end of the table 7.
