Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element with high efficiency and long life having an auxiliary layer for adjusting a resonant period of red light and/or green light. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element has a substrate, a first electrode, a second electrode, and an organic layer provided between the first electrode and the second electrode and including a hole injection layer and an electroluminescent layer. In the organic electroluminescent element, the electroluminescent layer has a red electroluminescent layer, a green electroluminescent layer, and a blue electroluminescent layer, and is provided between a hole injection layer (a) and the red electroluminescent layer, and has one or more of a first auxiliary layer for adjusting the resonant period of the red light and a second auxiliary layer for providing between a hole injection layer (b) and the green electroluminescent layer and adjusting the resonant period of green light. A material for forming the first auxiliary layer is different from a material for forming the hole injection layer, and a material for forming the second auxiliary layer is different from a material for forming the hole injection layer. Thus, the organic electroluminescent element can have characteristics such as low driving voltage, high current density, high brightness, high current efficiency, high electric power, long life, and excellent color purity.
