PASSENGER CONVEYER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor capable of calling attention of a user wearing a pair of shoes heel parts of which are slender. SOLUTION: This passenger conveyor is furnished with a plurality of footsteps 1 connected endlessly and to circularly move, a movable handrail 3 to synchronously move with these footsteps 1 and guided to a balustrade constituting member 2 and a control device 4 to control a drive constituted by including the footsteps 1 and the movable handrail 2. A plurality of pressure sensitive type switches 8 having prescribed detection areas are arranged on a platform floor 7 and are devised to detect that contact surface pressure of more than constant quantity works on a prescribed area previously specified on the platform floor 7, that is, a prescribed area specified in accordance with an area of the heel part of a pin heel and to carry out attention calling broadcasting by a speech synthesis device 6.
