Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a twin drive control unit and twist oscillation suppressing method capable of suppressing twist oscillation of a load even if the initial magnetic pole phases of two synchronous motors are different when the load is driven by a synchronous motor from both sides. SOLUTION: A rotational phase correcting means 74 considers initial magnetic pole phases θ1 and θ2 of synchronous motors 6A and 6B to correct rotational phase, and a coordinate converting device 75 generates a common single 3-phase sine wave voltage commands V*u, V*v and V*w using the rotational phase after correction. A PWM controller 56 generates a single PWM signals Vup, Vvp and Vwp based on the 3-phase sine wave voltage commands V*u, V*v and V*w, and power converters 57 and 76 power-control the synchronous motors 6A and 6B based on the PWM signals Vup, Vvp, and Vwp. So, even if the initial magnetic pole phases of the synchronous motors 6A and 6B are different, the torques that are generated can be the same, for suppressing twist oscillation of a load.
