SOLUTION: This heat pump type hot water generator 1 is constituted so as to generate hot water by heat-exchanging a refrigerant whose temperature is increased by compression by a compressor 10 and room temperature water in a condenser 20, expand the refrigerant heat-exchanged by the compressor 10, then heat-exchange the refrigerant whose temperature is decreased by expansion and the outside air in an evaporator 40, and circulate the refrigerant heat-exchanged in the evaporator 40 to the compressor 10.
