SOLUTION: The process for producing a polyurethane resin from a polyol mixture comprising a polyol and a catalyst and a polyisocyanate compound comprises adding at least one sulfurous acid compound selected from the group consisting of a hydrogensulfite and a disulfite to the polyol mixture.
