CLAMPING DEVICE FOR FIXTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamping device for a fixture, the clamping device being prevented from interfering with a welding gun even when the welding gun is moved along a peripheral edge of a workpiece W1. SOLUTION: A clamp cylinder 71 is arranged on a fixture 1 so that the clamp cylinder 71 lies within a vertical projection plane (a workpiece projection plane) of a workpiece W1 and the cylinder axis is inclined obliquely upward toward the outside of the workpiece projection plane. A clamp arm 70 is connected to the clamp cylinder 71 so as to be straightly moved in the cylinder axial direction, a claw part 70b to be bent toward the clamp cylinder 71 side and an upwardly rising part 70a are formed at a distal end portion of the clamp arm 70. When the clamp arm 70 is moved to the closing side approaching the clamp cylinder 71, the claw part 70b is advanced in the workpiece projection plane, and abutted on an upper surface of a peripheral edge of the workpiece W1. When the clamp arm 70 is moved to the opening side separating from the clamp cylinder 71, the claw part 70b is detached toward the outside of the workpiece projection plane.
