Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture a visible light response type titanium dioxide photocatalyst powder at low costs. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the visible light response type titanium dioxide photocatalyst powder by using microwave heating as a heating means comprises the step of uniformly mixing a prescribed amount of a titanium compound being main material with activated carbon being an adsorptive reduction assistant material under an anhydrous atmosphere in a reactor; the step of adding water in the air to execute hydrolysis; the decomposing step of increasing the temperature of the mixture at a prescribed temperature while stirring to thermally decompose it under an aerobic atmosphere to generate titanium dioxide; and the carbon combustion step, and those steps are sequentially executed to generate titanium dioxide powder with a residual carbon content of 0.5% or less. The device for manufacturing visible light response type titanium dioxide photocatalyst powder includes: a reactor having a stirrer and a microwave waveguide; a device for generating microwaves introduced inside the reactor through a waveguide; a device for heating the reactor from outside; a device capable of substituting the atmosphere inside the reactor; and a device capable of automatically discharging a product from the reactor.
