PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine having a remaining bobbin thread detector capable of detecting complete absence of bobbin thread wound around a bobbin. SOLUTION: The sewing machine 100 includes a first conductor 11 and a second conductor 12 provided on the path of the bobbin thread L between the bobbin 3 and a needle hole 7a, a power distribution circuit 14 for distributing the electric power to the first and second conductors 11 and 12, and a control part 30 for determining whether the electric power is distributed or not between the first and second conductors 11 and 12.
