SOLUTION: This electronic control device 1 has: a control part 10 outputting a watchdog pulse; the abnormality monitoring part allowing a reset of the control part 10 based on the watchdog pulse WDP output from the control part 10; and a monitoring operation changeover part outputting the monitoring operation changeover signal WDEN permitting or forbidding monitoring operation of the control part 10 by the abnormality monitoring part. The electronic control device 1 also has a monitoring operation changeover signal detection part monitoring an output state of the monitoring operation changeover signal WDEN.
