Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely divide a substrate by surely removing a polarizing plate together with an adhesion layer. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal panel 1 has a glass substrate 11, a glass substrate 12, and a seal member placed between the glass substrate 11 and the glass substrate 12 so as to surround a liquid crystal layer 4. Water repelling films 21, 22 are located opposite to the surface on the liquid crystal layer 4 side of at least either the glass substrate 11 or the glass substrate 12.
