METHOD OF TRANSPORTING BOOM OF WORK MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of transporting a boom of a work machine, which contributes to economization in transportation, by realizing transportation of the boom by using a smaller number of trucks. SOLUTION: An intermediate boom connected to a lower beam 9 is divided into a lower half portion 9a and an upper half portion 9b. Then a first boom structure 60 is set up by connecting between the lower half portion 9a and the lower boom or a distal-end-side divided boom 8d of the lower boom, and connecting a boom cylinder 12 to both of the former and the latter. On the other hand, a second boom structure 61 is set up by connecting between the upper half portion 9b and an upper boom, a proximal-end-side divided boom 10a of the upper boom, or the other intermediate boom, and connecting a boom cylinder 13 to both of the former and the latter. Then the first boom structure 60 and the second boom structure 61 are transported by mounting the same on a carriage of a truck 34 laterally side by side. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
