METHOD FOR PRODUCING ACRYLIC ACID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing acrylic acid from glycerol, in which a gas being sometimes discarded is effectively utilized in the production of the acrylic acid. SOLUTION: The method for producing the acrylic acid comprising a dehydration reaction step of producing acrolein by bringing a glycerol-containing gas into contact with a catalyst for dehydrating the glycerol, and an oxidation reaction step of producing the acrylic acid from the acrolein by an oxidation reaction, further comprises bringing a product-containing gas containing compounds formed before passing the oxidation reaction step into contact with the catalyst for dehydrating glycerol, used in the dehydration reaction step, or the catalyst for dehydrating the glycerol before being used in the dehydration reaction step.
