DEVICE FOR PREPARING DOCUMENT CORRELATION DIAGRAM WHICH ARRANGES DOCUMENTS TIME-SERIALLY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preparing a document correlation diagram, capable of exhibiting a mutual relation of documents in an easily understandable form, and capable of properly expressing a time-serial development in each field, since technical documents including patent documents, and other documents, are newly generated daily to get voluminous. SOLUTION: This device for preparing the document correlation diagram is provided with extracting means 20, 30 for extracting content data and time data of document elements E comprising one or a plurality of documents, as to the plurality of document elements, a dendrogram preparation means 50 for preparing a dendrogram indicating a correlation between the plurality of document elements, based on the content data of the respective document elements, a clustering means 70 for cutting the dendrogram based on a prescribed rule and for extracting a cluster, and an in-cluster array means 90 for determining an in-cluster array in the cluster of a document element group belonging to each cluster, based on the time data of each document element.
