INFORMATION CODE, INFORMATION CODE READER AND INFORMATION CODE GENERATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information code, in which the information quantity per unit area in a part where the information code is described can be increased, and an information code reader and an information code generation method therefor. SOLUTION: The information code C1 includes a reference plane R and recessed parts 1-3 having at least two kinds of depths from the reference plane R, and each value constituting the information code C1 is assigned to the reference plane R and each depth. Laser beam L is emitted from a laser beam source 22, and the reflected light is received by a light receiving sensor 23. The depth of each recessed part and the light receiving position of the reflected light have a correspondence, and the information code can be determined by detecting the light receiving position.
