SOLUTION: A particle diameter measuring method includes: the mixing step for mixing reference particles 21, 22, 23 having known particle diameters with a sample liquid containing a to-be-measured particle; the classifying step for introducing a mixture liquid created by the mixing step into a gap continuously varied so as to generate a capillary phenomenon, and classifying the to-be-measured particle and the reference particles 21, 22, 23 in accordance with the particle diameters; and the measuring step for measuring the particle diameter of the to-be-measured particle from a classification result of the to-be-measured particle and the reference particles 21, 22, 23.
