METHOD OF DISCRIMINATING EXISTENCE OF SOLUTION IN VESSELS FOR CREATING MEDICINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of discriminating existence of solution in vessels for creating medicine capable of discriminating existence of solution with a simple method without setting the individual threshold values for discrimination corresponding to the positions of the vessels or wells on the rack for storage. SOLUTION: On the plate for storage, the vessels filled with solution and without solution are alternately arranged in a checker pattern; respective images of each vessel filled with solution and vessel filled without solution are taken, and after accumulation and averaging, the mean line images filled with solution and without solution are obtained; from the difference of the mean line images with solution and without solution, the differential images for threshold calculation are calculated for every line; and the threshold value calculation characteristic value which is the characteristic value of the gray value of each pixel constituting the differential image for calculating the threshold value is calculated. The characteristic value for calculating the threshold value multiplied by a prescribed constant is made a threshold value to discriminate the existance of solution for every line, and by using the threshold value, the existing solution in the arbitral line and in the arbitral column can be discriminated.
