Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology related to a refrigerating machine and its operating method that can effectively utilize the refrigerating machine constituting a hydrate slurry air-conditioning facility. SOLUTION: The refrigerating machine forms a refrigerating cycle in which a compressor 1, a condenser 3 and an evaporator are connected by piping through which a refrigerant flows. The evaporator is constituted an evaporator 5 for hydrate slurry production and an evaporator 4 for cold water production are provided to be alternatively connectable to the condenser 3 and the compressor 1.
