Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the exhaust emission control device to prevent an EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) from recirculating debris of a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) into an intake system of the engine when there is a possibility that the DPF might be damaged. SOLUTION: An ECU 17 determines during regeneration of the DPF 12 if there is a possibility that the DPF 12 is damaged according to a value (exhaust gas temperature TDPF) detected by an exhaust gas temperature sensor 15 in view of a threshold value T1, and if affirmative, immediately outputs a control signal to the EGR valve 161 so as to completely close the valve 161.
