Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for obtaining an N-(2-amino-1,2-dicyanovinyl)imidate under low-temperature reaction conditions in a short time in a high yield. SOLUTION: Diaminomaleonitrile is reacted with an orthocarboxylic acid triester in the presence of a strong acid such as sulfuric acid etc., in tetrahydrofuran to give an N-(2-amino-1,2-dicyanovinyl)imidate represented by formula (III) (wherein R1is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group which may contain a substituent group or an aryl group which may contain a substituent group; and R2is an alkyl group which may contain a substituent group or an aryl group which may contain a substituent group).
