Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the cutting speed in a glass cutting system for dividing a large glass sheet into small glass sheets. SOLUTION: A glass sheet is divided into two smaller glass sheets, by forming a crack traversing the glass sheet by moving a long and narrow laser beam having a major axis of 30 mm or longer and also having a power distribution comprising a mixed component of TEM01* mode and TEM00 mode so as to traverse the glass sheet, then bending the glass sheet along the crack.
