Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an increase in friction due to an increase of regenerative energy when a drive device for an electric vehicle has the number of rotations not less than the number of rotation in no load. SOLUTION: An inertia switch 18 is connected to a controller 1 for controlling to accelerate and decelerate a motor M, and a lead angle control circuit 24 executes lead angle control on the basis of the condition where the rotation speed becomes not less than a rotation speed of no load and an inertia switch signal input. In this way, when the motor as a drive source of the drive device for an electric vehicle becomes not less than the rotation speed in no load due to running on a long downhill, the regenerative current can be suppressed to solve the problem that the regenerative current equivalent to an increase in the rotation speed flows from a controller to a power supply battery and the friction of the motor increases due to an increase in the regenerative energy and increasing the upperlimit of the rotation speed of the motor by suppressing the regenerative current, and thus an increase in friction can be prevented, and the running performance of the electric vehicle in inertia drive is improved.
