Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static eliminator capable of preventing degradation of a static elimination effect by influence from disturbance, and of preventing ions from being sent out to articles other than a static elimination object as much as possible. SOLUTION: This static eliminator includes: an ion generation element 2 having a dielectric material, at least two discharge electrodes arranged on back-to-back surfaces of the dielectric material, and an induction electrode arranged in the dielectric material and receiving action of the at least two discharge electrodes, and having a structure to generating positive ions and negative ions on the back-to-back surfaces of the dielectric material; and an insulating barrier body 3 mainly formed out of a non-conductive material, and having a structure to cover the ion generation element; and is structured to eliminate static of a static elimination object arranged in a direction nearly orthogonal to a surface of the dielectric material with the discharge electrodes formed thereon. On the insulating barrier body, a front opening is formed on a part facing the static elimination object, and side surface openings are formed on parts respectively facing the at least two discharge electrodes.
