Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer compound that enhances a maximum light emission efficiency in the case when a composition comprising the polymer compound mixed with a compound showing light emission from a triplet excited state is used for an organic electroluminescent element. SOLUTION: The polymer compound contains as repeating units an optionally substituted fluorenediyl group and a phenylene group having one or more substituents and also contains a repeating unit represented by formula (1) and/or a group represented by formula (2) wherein in formula (1), Ar1and Ar2each independently denote an arylene group or a divalent aromatic heterocyclic group and Ar1and Ar2may be the same or different; and in formula (2), Ar1denotes the same meaning as defined in formula (1) and Ar3denotes an aryl group or a monovalent aromatic heterocyclic group.
