FLUORINE-CONTAINING RANDOM COPOLYMER, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorine-containing random copolymer, a fluorine-containing random copolymer having an unsaturated double bond or a composition containing those, which has characteristics of a low refractive index, transparency, stain resistance, water and oil repellency, surface slip properties, scratch resistance and the like when formed into a coated film, and simultaneously is excellent in solubility to a general purpose organic solvent and storage stability. SOLUTION: The fluorine-containing random copolymer is obtained by copolymerizing the ingredients comprising 10-75 mol% of a specific fluoroolefin (A), 4-70 mol% of a specific fluoroalkyl perfluorovinyl ether (B), 10-70 mol% of a specific unsaturated monomer (C) having a hydroxyl group and a 0.001-10 mol% of a specific polysiloxane compound (D), and has a polystyrene-converted weight average molecular weight measured by gel permeation chromatography of 5,000-300,000 and a molecular weight distribution denoted by a weight average molecular weight/a number average molecular weight of within the range of 1.0-5.0.
