STEEL BAND FRONT SIDE CUTTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel band front side cutting device which has a simple structure of a device, reduces the cost of equipment, facilitates maintenance, which can be installed in a conveying path for the steel band provided at the upper and lower side, supports the steel band only in cutting the steel band, and does not contact with the steel band during carrying the steel band. SOLUTION: The steel band front side cutting device 10 is provided at the inlet side of steel band continuous processing equipment 11, and cuts to remove both ends of the tip end area of following steel band 15 at the front stage where a tail end of the preceding steel band 13 and the tip end of the following steel band 15 having wider width than the preceding steel band 13 are welded and joined. The steel band front side cutting device 10 has a steel band support means 24 for supporting the following steel band by adjusting the width according to the width of the following steel band 15 and a cutting means 26 equipped with a cut shear 25 which approaches from both ends to the following steel band 15 supported by the steel band support means 24 and holds and cuts the both sides of the tip end area of the following steel band 15.
