PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a security lock cannot be released even if a mobile terminal is located at a place where the security lock is released, if the place is outside a communicable zone. SOLUTION: A mobile terminal for communicating with a transmitter includes a receiver for receiving a radio signal from the transmitter, and calculating a present location of the terminal concerned based on the signal; first information in regard to the present location; and second information in regard to an area in which the security lock of the terminal is released; and an authentication management section for releasing the security lock of the terminal. When the receiver cannot receive the radio signal from the transmitter, the authentication management section decides whether the security lock of the terminal concerned is released based on the first and the second information. For example, if the present location at the most updated time in the first information ranges within a tolerable area of the second information and the most updated time is within a valid time, the security lock is released.
