LIGHTING DEVICE FOR DISCHARGE LAMP, AND LUMINAIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device for a discharge lamp usable for both an incandescent lamp as an all-night light and a light emitting diode, and a luminaire. SOLUTION: This lighting device 1 for a discharge lamp is provided with: a first connection terminal 5 connected to a negative electrode output side of a D.C. power circuit 2; a second connection terminal 6 connected to the positive electrode output side of the D.C. power circuit 2; a third connection terminal 7 connected to the positive electrode output side of an internal power circuit 4 through a current-limiting element R1; a switch element 8 interposed between the respective negative electrode output sides of the D.C. power circuit 2 and the internal power circuit 4, and the first connection terminal 5; and a control circuit 9 supplied with a D.C. voltage outputted from the internal power circuit 4 as operational power, and controlling the turning-on/off of the switch element 8 according to an external signal.
