Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic material detection sensor and a magnetic detector, stably working independently of the kind or shape of a magnetic body to be detected, being highly sensitive, allowing miniaturization and space saving, and further, having high productivity. SOLUTION: The magnetic material detection sensor comprising a magnet 12 generating a magnetic field and a magnetic field detection element 13 for detecting a change in the magnetic field. The detection element 13 is disposed on a plane, the plane having the NS direction of the magnet 12 as its normal line and being located on the magnetic pole side opposite to a magnetic pole of the magnet approached by the magnetic material rather than a midpoint of the NS axis of the magnet 12. At this juncture, the detection element 13 is disposed at a position causing a bias magnetic field applied thereon by the magnet 12 to be set in a domain with magnetization saturated of the detection element 13. The detection element 13 is disposed coplanarly with a magnetic pole on the opposite side of the magnetic pole approached by the magnetic material of the magnet 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
