Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polylactic acid staple fiber having an excellent quality and strength, without having fluffs or thread breakage. SOLUTION: This polylactic acid staple fiber containing 0.5-3.0 wt.% inorganic oxide particles, consisting of the polylactic acid and having a strength of 3.0-5.0 cN/dtex, has a presenting rate of devitrified yarn of ≥10%, further has a fiber to fiber static frictional coefficient of 0.2-0.35, and in addition the inorganic oxide particles has a particle diameter of 0.1-1.0 μm.
