FRONT PILLAR STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE BODY AND FRONT PILLAR MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front pillar structure of a vehicle body capable of stabilizing coupling rigidity and quality of a pillar top end coupling part of a front pillar lower, and a bottom end overlaid part of a front pillar upper, and reducing a working time, and a method for manufacturing the front pillar. SOLUTION: This structure comprises a front pillar lower 7 vertically coupled to a front part of a side sill 14 at a compartment side lower part, and a front pillar upper 8, whose front lower overlaid part 803 is connected to pillar top end coupling parts 214, 224 of the front pillar lower and whose rear upper overlaid part 801 is integrally coupled with a roof side rail 13. A screw hole sh is formed on any one of the front lower overlaid part 803 of the front pillar upper and the pillar top end coupling part 214, and a through hole 311 is formed on the other, so that the front lower overlaid part 803 is fastened to the pillar top end coupling part 214 by a bolt B1, and the front lower overlaid part is welded to the pillar top coupling part.
