Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a metal clad laminate improved in adhesion in the hot press bonding of a stainless steel layer and a polyimide resin layer. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the metal clad laminate includes a surface treatment process for treating a stainless steel base material becoming the stainless steel layer with an alkali aqueous solution and a process for superposing a resin plate becoming the polyimide resin layer 12 on the surface-treated surface of the stainless steel base material to hot-press the same. The polyimide resin layer 12 comprises a single layer or a plurality of layers and a polyimide resin, which constitutes the layer coming into contact with the surface-treated surface of the stainless steel base material, is a thermoplastic polyimide resin having a coefficient of moisture absorption of 0.6-1.5 wt.%.
