REEL DRUM CAP FOR HOLDING SAGGING OF INSIDE DIAMETER OF COIL AND METHOD OF INSERTING/EXTRACTING COIL USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel drum cap for holding the inside diameter part of a coil for inserting the coil of a steel strip in the inside diameter part of which sagging of the inside diameter is caused into a pay-off reel, and a method of inserting the coil using the same. SOLUTION: The reel drum cap for holding the sagging in the inside diameter part of the coil is used for mounting a round nose (round warhead)-shaped cap to the tip of a reel drum via a rubber sleeve. By inserting the coil of the steel strip into the pay-off reel in the state where the reel drum cap is mounted on the reel drum via the rubber sleeve, the coil is inserted while correcting the sagging in the inside diameter part caused in the inside diameter part. Further, when extracting the coil of the steel strip from the pay-off reel in the state where the reel drum cap is mounted on the reel drum via the rubber sleeve, the coil is extracted while correcting the sagging in the inside diameter caused in the inside diameter part of the coil, which is an obstacle.
