SOLUTION: This is a method for preparing an antigen substance that includes polysaccharide and glycopeptide and dissolves in aqueous solution, and comprises the following steps: the step where fungal cells of Microsporum is treated under an aqueous alkaline condition, the step where the treated product is separated into the solid phase and the liquid phase, the step where the supernatant after separation is treated with mineral acid or organic acid, and the step where ASMP is allowed to precipitate from the supernatant after the separation.
