Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide image processing for controlling the depth of field of an image photographed by a digital camera to a degree desired by a user or approximately equally to an image photographed by a film camera. SOLUTION: An image processing device is provided in which on coordinates having a wavelet coefficient equal to or more than a threshold set by a threshold setting section 2 for a two-dimensional wavelet coefficient of minimum scale output by a two-dimensional discrete binary wavelet transforming section 1 for input image data, a focused state is determined and the wavelet coefficient is held but on coordinates less than the threshold, an image is output by an inverse wavelet transforming section 4 from a wavelet coefficient multiplying a wavelet coefficient of each scale by a control coefficient by a control coefficient setting and multiplying section 3, such that while holding the focus of coordinates focused in the input image data, image data having a shallower depth of field than the input image data are output.
